CEO, ANTIN INFRASTRUCTURE PARTNERS and Chairman of the INFRASTRUCTURE COMMITTEE ASSOCIATION FRANCAISE DES INVESTISSEURS POUR LA CROISSANCE (AFIC)
Alain is CEO and a Managing Partner of Antin. Having founded Antin in 2007, Alain oversees the firm’s development and drives its strategy. Under his leadership, Antin completed three successful fundraises, securing a total of more than €7 billion in commitments from investors. Together with Managing Partner Mark Crosbie, Alain laid the framework for growing the firm from one office and ten professionals to today’s footprint of three offices (Paris, London and Luxembourg) and over 60 professionals. Alain is a member of the governing body of the firm (the “Executive Committee”), the Investment Committee, the Portfolio Review Committee and the Compliance Committee. He holds board seats for Bina Istra in Fund I and Eurofiber, Inicea and GSR in Fund II. He held board seats for three of Fund I’s realised investments, namely Pisto, Axión and FPS Towers. Alain was named Global Infrastructure Personality of the Year at the Infrastructure Investor Awards in 2011. He is also Chairman of the Infrastructure Roundtable at Invest Europe (formerly EVCA) and Chairman of the l’Association Francaise des Investisseurs pour la Croissance (“AFIC”), a body which represents French private equity in the national economy. Before founding Antin, Alain was Head of the Oil, Gas and Mining division at BNP Paribas Corporate Finance. Prior to that role, he worked on numerous mergers and acquisitions transactions in various sectors at Lazard Frères and Lehman Brothers. He began his career with Bain & Company. Alain received an MPhil in Philosophy from the Ecole Normale Supérieure, an MPhil in Philosophy from the Sorbonne University, an MS in Economics from Sciences Po and an MA in Management from HEC.
