MD Head of Infrastructure, EUROPEAN BANK FOR RECONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT
Jean-Patrick Marquet is the Managing Director for Infrastructure as well as Managing Director for Turkey at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
He has been based in Istanbul since 2015 and is responsible for leading the Bank’s operations and policy initiatives in Turkey. Additionally he was appointed head of the Infrastructure business group in May 2017 covering all EBRD activities in the Transport and Municipal and Environmental Infrastructure sectors across all countries of operations. He is cumulating both positions at the moment.
A French national, Mr Marquet joined the EBRD in 2001 in the Natural Resources team developing oil & gas and mining investments from London. In 2008 he was appointed Director of the Municipal and Environmental Infrastructure team, successfully running the EBRD’s global operations in water, wastewater, waste management, urban transport, district heating and social infrastructure PPPs.
Before joining the EBRD, he was a project finance banker at Crédit Agricole CIB (formerly known as Crédit Lyonnais) in Paris and London, successively focusing on the property, mining & metals and infrastructure sectors.
Mr Marquet’s academic background includes a Master in Management from HEC Paris school of management and a Master of Law from the Assas law school at Panthéon-Sorbonne university in Paris.
