René KASSIS

Head of Private Debt, LA BANQUE POSTALE AM Chairman of the Infrastructure Committee of the ASSOCIATION FRANÇAISE DE LA GESTION FINANCIÈRE (AFG)

René Kassis has joined La Banque Postale Asset Management in 2012 to launch their private debt platform dedicated to infrastructure, real estate and corporate debt. The platform is now managing more than EUR 3 bn on behalf on institutional investors, with a team of 10 sector specialists, investing in European primary and secondary debt markets. René is also the chairman of the Infrastructure Committee of the French Asset Management Association (AFG).

René enjoys a 23-year experience in advising, originating and arranging of structured and project financing in Europe, North America and South-East Asia, out of Paris, London and Singapore.

Before Joining La Banque Postale AM, René was the Global Head of Infrastructure and Deputy Global Head of Project Finance at Dexia, where he worked for 10 years. Before Joining Dexia in 2002, René has worked for 9 years at Crédit Lyonnais (now Credit Agricole CIB), where he started in 1993 in their Paris-based Infrastructure and Environment project finance team as a manager. He then spent 4 years in their Singapore-based Asian Project Finance group as associate director in charge of infrastructure, energy and telecom. In 2000, he moved to Credit Lyonnais’ London project finance team covering Public-Private-Partnerships, Infrastructure and utilities. René is 49, graduate from the ESSEC Business School, and speaks French, English, Arabic and Japanese.
